To produce and train responsible, competent, creative and innovative professionals in the field of Mechanical  and Manufacturing Engineering, through world-class academic programmes




  1. To provide competitive academic programmes to produce technologists and professionals for national and global needs;
  2. To be a centre for reference, research and consultation through smart partnership with industries and stakeholders;
  3. To nurture life long learning as a culture among graduates, staff and society.


Quality Objectives

  1. Conduct academic programmes of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering which are accredited by related accreditation bodies in every academic session as follows;
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering (Research);
  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering (Coursework);
  • Master of Science in Materials Engineering;
  • Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering;
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours;
  • Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Professional Piloting);
  • Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Aircraft Maintenance).
  1. Produce at least 8% of bachelor degree which are graduated with a Cumulative Point Average (CPA) ≥ 3.50 and 4% of first class degree students per year;
  2. Produce at least 85% of bachelor degree graduates, 15% of postgraduate degree by research graduates and 90% of postgraduate degree by causework graduates that are achieved “Graduate on Time”.
  3. Ensure that the marketability of graduate achieved at least 70% after 6 month of their graduation. 
  4. Ensure that 75% of academic staff are holding PhD, and 1% of academic staff  are obtained professional qualification/equivalent, and 95% of academic staff are registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia in the current year;
  5. Produce at least the average of 1.3% publications per staff in the form of conference paper/ journal article/ proceeding/ teaching module/ original book/ translation book per year;
  6. Ensure that 100% of academic staff are involved in research and 20% of academic staff are involved in consultation work in the current year;
  7. Ensure that at least 90% of staff are fulfilled the 7 days of training and development programs per year.
